Walldecor Royal Tea | Handmade OOAK sculpture | Mixed media sculpture | Paper mache | Clay | King | Crown | Teacup | Birdcage
The king is having tea... perhaps we should no disturb him?
But it look kind of cosy in his little box, with the cutest wallpaper that can be found in his whole kingdom.
The little bird in his cage must be singing a delightful song, it makes the King forget about any royal troubles...
This warm and enchanting wall sculpture makes me really jump with joy everytime I see it hanging.
Can't take my eyes of it. I hope you feel the same about it!
While I was working on it, I put it a side a couple of times, just to let this sculpture tell me how to shape it and what colours I should use. It worked, not being hasty, but giving it time to grow and evolve.
The box is made of recycled paper mache.
It's not very tightly formed, but a little crooked and I made the decoration look a kind of vintage.
I painted it all with acrylic paint and covered it with a UV resistant varnish. At back is a little metal hook for hanging the (light weight) sculpture.
It's cosy and cheerful and colourful at the same time and I hope you will enjoy it very much!
