Wall Hanging Sculpture | Party Animals | Puppets
These two party animals cheer up every day of the year!
They silently celebrate just in their little colourful box and every now and than they remind you to celebrate life too!
It was such a joy to create this little wall sculpture.
It didn't start with a great idea, but grew a little while I was working on it every day.
I made several boxes and tried them all just to find the right one for this sculpture.
I put both figures in a box, as if they both live in there.
It looks cosy and even the pattern in the background and the piglet box are simulair.
The box is made of recycled paper mache. It's not very tightly formed, but a little crooked and I made the decoration look a kind of vintage. As a matter of fact, I gave it all a bit of a old vintage look. The little man and the piglet are mainly made of paper mache, but covered with a thin layer of (self hardening clay) I painted it all with acrylic paint and covered it with a UV resistant varnish. At back is a little metal hook for hanging the (light weight) sculpture.
It's cosy and cheerful and colourful at the same time and I hope you will enjoy it very much!
