Flowerpot Autumn | Mushrooms & the Leprechaun
These mushrooms never disappear but stay this way forever.
The leprechaun is asleep, warm, save and cosy on top of the mushroom.
He might just get up in the middle of the night and wander through your house....
I'm always sorry the mushrooms in the wood disappear so fast or just waste away in front of you.
So it's a wonderful thing they stay this way and won't get ugly. I really hope you like my little leprechaun, when I made him I wasn't sure if he would fit with the mushrooms. But along the making process, the mushrooms and the leprechaun just seem to be made for each other.
I painted the mushrooms in earth tones, but made it just a tiny bit more dramatic. Just a bit more accent to the mushroom steal and the downside of the mushrooms.
The moss is made of paper mache and painted in natural green colours, as a nice green accent between the flowerpot and the mushrooms.
The leprechaun clothes are inspired by the Middle Ages and I painted them in sober earthy tones.
The flowerpot is a real little pottery flowerpot.
